A message from Joy and Val.
After 7.5 years of running a successful swim school we have decided to close our doors to spend more time with our children. Our business has been run on the core values of family, Education and Biology and with these values in mind, we have decided to take some time to:
Spend time together as a family,
Learn more about business and learn-to-swim programming around the world and
Regroup our physical and mental health.
Our program has been built on principles of developmental growth and safety. Gross motor development, patterning, core control and stability have formed the foundation of our program. We have a strong program that allows children to develop naturally and introduces skills at the right developmental phases so skills are more easily learned.
Although our swim school is closed, we are working behind the scenes redeveloping our business model. We have some very exciting projects coming up and of course we are still at the Northside pool. More about our new projects below.
The last week of lessons in 2018, Joy gave all the current families a copy of her book, Sink or Swim: Water Safety and Swimming Lessons Guide for Parents. There is excellent information in the book on how to find a swim school as well as many other tips. If you weren’t swimming with us that week you can find out more information or find where to purchase your copy here.
If you have any questions in relation to swim schools, programs, teachers, what to expect, water safety, how to become a swimming teacher or school swimming, please email us. We’re happy to help. We are not leaving the industry, just taking a different role in it.
We wish you all the best for 2019 and beyond. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to and check out upcoming projects:
Thank you to all the families who have supported us over the years.
